LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT LAW, AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION MECHANISMS

The firm has attorneys who have extensive and expertise in employment law and labour relations matters. In this regard, the firm has advised various clients on dismissal disputes, employment, grievances, disciplinary hearings, contracts of employment, retrenchments, settlement negotiations, recognition of trade unions, collective agreements, CCMA and bargaining council procedures, industrial action, business transfers and takeovers, in addition, the firm has also had its attorneys chairing disciplinary hearings and being appointed to initiate cases of behalf of employer clients. The firm has also instituted and defended litigation in the labour court covering various areas of the different employment laws.

FORENSIC INVESTIGATION

Langa Rambau Incorporated has an established forensic investigation division, which provides investigation reports on the factual findings and advises clients of the recommended intervention and/or course of action relating to the strengthening of control to prevent the recurring of alleged or suspected fraud and corruption. We ascertain whether there is substance into allegations of fraud and corruption that are reported to the department, as and when required to do so.

LITIGATION

Langa Rambau Incorporated has a fully staffed and well-functioning litigation unit. The unit institutes and defends actions and motion applications by and against clients. The unit drafts the necessary pleadings, collects evidence, where necessary launches interlocutory applications, lodges and prosecutes appeals and reviews on behalf of clients.

The department is constituted by very experienced attorneys who previously worked as public prosecutors, magistrates and trained as judges. During their tenors as acting judges, prosecutors, magistrates and state attorneys, they attended to all spheres of litigation.

Our litigation department is divided into administrative, commercial, competition, civil, criminal and constitutional litigation sections. Over the past years we have built a strong litigation department with relevant expertise. ADMINISTRATION OF DECEASED ESTATES AND LIQUIDATION

Langa Rambau Incoporated is authorized to administer estates where we are nominated as executor in terms of a will, as well as where the deceased did not leave a will or where the will nominates a family member as executor. MUNICIPAL BY- LAWS AND PLANNING

Langa Rambau Incorporated has gathered a lot of knowledge of municipal law as a specialist field of law and as such, has vast knowledge and experience in dealing with municipalities issues.

This unit deals with amongst others, the enforcement of building control standards, town planning schemes, noise regulations of different municipalities and other municipal by- laws.
